The Staminator is by far one of the cockiest wrestlers currently on the IBW roster. However, not too many people can back up what they say like The Staminator does. On June 5th, 2002, The Staminator pinned "Hot Property" Wyatt Blackford in the Elimination Battle Royal to become the first ever IBW Heavyweight Champion, a status that will go down in IBW history.
Since then, The Staminator has yet to lose the IBW Heavyweight Title - a belt he has held for a full year! The Staminator's first title defense came against "Hot Property" Wyatt Blackford and ended in a controversial fashion. With the referee knocked out, Wyatt Blackford hit the Tetnis Shot on Staminator and went for the pin. Marty Matthews then ran down to the ring and made the pin count, declaring Wyatt Blackford the new IBW Heavyweight Champion. The referee then ordered the match to continue seeing as Marty wasn't an official IBW referee. When the match did continue, Staminator was able to give Wyatt a quick roll-up pin from behind (holding onto the tights) for the quick win.
At the second IBW event, The Staminator squared off with the smaller, agile Tommy Hill. Tommy used his size to his advantage throughout the match. It looked as if The Staminator's title reign was about to end when he was hit wit the Tommy Gunn cleanly. However, The Staminator barely kicked out, countered a second Tommy Gunn and executed the Facelift for a second successful title defense.
At the IBW's fourth event, Philip Flawless defeated Tommy Hill earlier in the night to grant himself a shot at The Staminator's title in the Main Event. Much like his previous two title defenses, The Staminator was able to beat the odds and hit the Facelift on Philip to regain his title once again.
At Double Crossed, The Staminator was pitted against Marty Matthews and "Hot Property" Wyatt Blackford in a Triple Threat Match with his gold on the line as well as Marty's. In the end, The Staminator and Marty Matthews pulled a fast one by forming an alliance, knocking out "Hot Property" Wyatt Blackford, thus causing a DQ finish and allowing The Staminator to retain his IBW Heavyweight Title and Marty Matthews to retain his IBW Midwest Title.
How much longer will The Staminator be able to remain the IBW Heavyweight Champion? Who else on the roster has what it takes to overcome the Stamy/Marty alliance to win big? Only time will tell.
